I am a Colorado native and self-taught artist. I have been taking photos of Colorado for almost thirty years and have been painting for almost ten years. Between my parents who were involved in the arts, and my love of all things beautiful, my interest in art was stirred at a very young age.

While growing up, I was fortunate to spend some time with Georgia O’Keeffe, Peter Hurd, Henriette Wyeth and other artists in the Santa Fe area.  These artists, as well as other local artists, have all collectively inspired me to find my own creative expression.

Exploring color, working with composition and chasing the light are my current inspirations with photography.  I am passionate about painting.  Eventually I’ll combine photography and painting.

I am also a writing a family story.

It takes a long time to develop the technical skills within each of these mediums but I am having a lot of fun balancing my creative interests with raising a family.   I have been fortunate to get great advice from many well know artists and writers and and for that I am very grateful.
